Optimizing agroforestry design and management: tools for practitioners and farm advisors
Objectives
- Understand and improve farm-technical & economic, labour, and administrative aspects related to agroforestry
- Assess, predict and optimize tree and crop performance in agroforestry systems
- Develop and apply in-depth insights into the climate adaptation potential of agroforestry systems at field and farm scales
- Provide architecture for field- and farm-scale planning of agroforestry design and management hands-on digital tools
Milestones
- Milestone 8: baseline system and the associated financial benefits and costs
- Milestone 9: SWOT analysis of models/tools for agroforestry systems
- Milestone 10: 3D architectural models of trees parameterized
- Milestone 11: guidelines for DigitAF architecture, allowing interoperability of field and farm level tools
